Hi! I have a new wedding to post and it's a doozy! These folks really know how to have fun, and that's what we all did. Drew & Callie are Texas A & M alumni, proud of it, and they made it kind of the unofficial the theme of their wedding. Theirs was a big, beautiful wedding held at Lantana Lodge in Pilot Point, Texas, overlooking Lake Ray Rodgers and adorned by the most beautiful skyline at sundown you could hope to see. Callie had five attendants, (two of them were her twin sisters) and all of them were lovely (of course!) Their dresses were vibrant red, each one unique. Bright red and orange tulips graced the day.
One of the little flower girls is getting beautified. It's time she learns that it isn't easy being beautiful!
Callie and her mom are happy. As you can see, Callie is another easy-on-the-eyes bride, and she's just glowing on her wedding day.
Enter, boys, stage left.
This wedding had more crazy cool cats than could be counted. (Say that five times quick.) It was really nice that Callie thought to coordinate her flowers with her usher's hair!
One of these cool cats is missing something very important. Can you identify what this very important something might be???
There were many a red-head party animal at this bash! But as usual, one always stands above the rest. Meet Gary Hubbard. He had a blast! And Drew had an armload of fun with Gary as well.

Gary was hard to take my lens off of for sure... but there were lots of something elses that I found even more wonderful. Now you can see what I really look for in a good wedding, and this wedding didn't disappoint.

This is the official ever-updating blog post which will include the Cool Cat of the Wedding award winning photos. YAY!!! There's one at every wedding!
August 16..... And the winner is.... David Tarvin! He is a drummer, he is a Mac user, he is a DJ. Would there be any question? Of course he's the Cool Cat from the beautiful wedding of Michael and Lindsey. Hands down! (He's also the son of my daughter's favorite and greatest teacher in the history of the world!)
July 20..... It was a double-header weekend and today was the beautiful Sunday afternoon wedding of Jason and Casey. There were a small number of guests in quaint little chapel and a very intimate, sweet setting. But don't think for a minute that the reception was docile! And for this we can thank our newest Cool Cat, Mark Brown. Mark was the happening DJ and the music was P E R F E C T. He was always right on cue with the most appropriate song, and he kept things moving in perfect order. Thanks CC Mark! I think you're the bees knees.
July 19..... Joseph Allison was the Coolest Cat at Derrick and Rose's wedding. Why? Well in this case, my Cool Cat was kinda shy. But I had to choose him because, well, he just looks so darn cool. One thing I do know about Joseph is he has good taste in women. His girlfriend was quite a beauty and had the prettiest jewelry I ever saw, both at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. She and Joseph danced the night away, and he proved himself to be the Coolest and the Cattest.
July 12..... Ryan Castro. The brides mom from BJ and Rachel's wedding thought he looked like Antonio Banderas. But not me. He made me think of George Harrison. All he needed was a sitar. For that, he gets the Cool Cat award. Anyone who comes to the wedding in a jacket that resembles a Sargent Pepper suit automatically gets the award. In fact, anyone that favors a Beatle gets the award! Congrats Ryan! You're so cool!
June 21..... Jack Mealy wins the Cool Cat award for the completely green and highly intellectual wedding of Keith and Amanda. It was a great wedding, very casual, and if the IQ numbers of the guest list were added up, we would be talking duodecuples times 1000. But Jack Mealy would be capable of giving you the exact numbers, because he is a genius math professor at Austin College. Jack is the smartest of all the Cool Cats, and I believe that could be mathematically proven if necessary!
June 14..... Justin Dorsey was the Cool Cat at the wedding of Bruce and Amy. Reason? Because he was the biggest party animal I've personally encountered at a wedding. He was having a GREAT TIME! I'm not sure he'll remember how much fun he had so for the record Justin, you had a blast!!! All kidding aside, Justin was a really nice guy and did a great job with the truck decorating at the tailgate party!
June 7..... Desera Horton is the one and only thus far female Cool Cat. But she was so darling that she just had to make the cut. She has a beautiful smile and I think I would not be mistaken to make a blog exaltation of her love for the Power Puff Girls! She is the Cool Cat winner from Zach and Piper's wedding.
May 31..... - Jabir Perkins - I don't know what Jabir's shirt is all about. I do know it's about something big. But no matter how big it is it cannot compare to the bigness of his rings! He is a college football star from Southeastern in Oklahoma. There were some big boys at this wedding! And Jabir wins because he was the coolest one at Russ and Randa's wedding.
May 25..... Harry Smith - What a guy! Harry was the Coolest Cat ever. You know the wedding drill. Everyone pulls together to make everything perfect for the bride and groom. It's my business to help out in any way I can and that's the focus. But at Will and Kaitlin's wedding, there was someone looking out for me. And it was Harry Smith. He always kept an eye out for me, bringing me Sprite and ice water too... when I didn't ask, just when he thought it might be nice. I rarely eat a piece of cake, but Harry brought me one along with a big smile. What a sweetheart. Harry was the Coolest Cat and I sure hope we cross paths again someday.
May 24..... Jason Hoover - It's all about the B L I N G! And Jason had plenty of it. He is a super hero, truly. His wife said that there is a fine line between heroic and stupid! But I think what we have here is a bonafide hero. What a wonderful couple they were, and they is expecting a new baby very soon. Thank you Jason! You are the Cool Cat winner from the beautiful wedding of John and Azlynn!
May 17..... Brian Darley - ya know, whenever I identify my Cool Cat at the Wedding, I keep an eye on him, and he always lives up to his title. And Brian Darley is no exception. He's one Cool Cat and the winner from Chad and Tamara's wedding.
May 10..... Nate Tandberg, who gave a hysterical toast, and deservedly took up a whole sign in page in the guest registry, is the hands down winner of Cool Cat at Tom and Nicole's wedding.
April 19..... Andrew Wood and Gary Hubbard tie for Cool Cat of the Wedding award. They were so entertaining and let me tell you - THEY HAD A BLAST and the wedding of Drew & Callie!
April 11..... Shane Jordan - earns the distinction of being the one and only ever Cool Cat at his OWN wedding! That's just how cool Shane is.
April 5..... Sean Ellis - Rock star from Denton, Texas playing with We Are Villains. He wins Cool Cat from the wedding of Ryan and Samantha.
March 22..... Brandon Wiele - Stones fan and the Coolest Cat at Chuck and Jan's wedding.
