I have two really neat things to tell you. One is you know my little tree visitor below? Well it turns out that there were TWO. And it turns out that they are little redbirds! And I got to keep a safe distance and watch the mom and dad coaxing one of the babies to come out of the nest and fly. I read that redbirds mate for life, and they are monogamous. (I'm not sure if they have weddings.) And they both take care of their babies equally. So they are just like (some!) people. :>)
No I gotta tell you the COOLEST THING EVER I did last week. My son and I drove to Eureka Springs, Arkansas (my only break from editing in weeks!) to see our favorite singer. And she tore the house down! Her name is Koko Taylor, and she's a 74 year old blues singer from Chicago. She still has it! She was just beautiful and you could see that beauty in her eyes. She was so sweet and sincere and we got to meet her afterwards. I have met her before, it was probably 20+ years ago at Poor David's Pub in Dallas. I must have only been just about 10 years old lol!!! NOT! I felt really bad before the show that I didn't take my camera (partly because I would have gotten KILLER photos, and also partly because I would have had the best camera gear there of any of the other photographers, ok... I'm a gear snob.) But then once the show started, I was glad I didn't have it, because I would have had to guard it like a baby, and this way, I could stand and cheer and scream like an idiot the entire time, which I did!
This is the way she was when she was a tike:

And this is the way she is now. Ain't she grand?
